Went to start the car just now & did not want to start, eventually it did after about 5 or 6 tries & now seems to be running rough..
Engine warning flashing up & came up on my display Anti pollution System failure...Is this a big job to sort out? Any advice would be appreciated..
Car is a 406 coupe 2.0 Petrol Manuel..
Only had the car a couple of weeks & this is the first thing I've had any problem with, not really drove any distance in it yet only short local runs...

Anti Pollution fault seems to be Peugeot's default message, it could mean any number of things. You really need to get the error codes read to know what's wrong.

Ah ok...I have a couple of OBD2 readers so will see if one of them works with the 406

Next question is....where is the OBD port located on these?
I did just find a hard plastic pipe that someone had duck taped up as it was cracked into several bits that runs from top back of engine to front top, looks like these breaking could be a common fault as the plastic was very brittle...I had patched it up for now, car starts & runs fine now but still coming up with that fault & engine light is still on?...

next to the headlight level adjustment/cruise control switch, behind a plastic cover that can be pried out with your fingers.

i'm not entirely sure, but I think on a D8 it might be under the steering wheel next to the fuses.
no guarantees it will work with a generic OBD-reader, you might need PP2000.

could you take a picture of it? is it related to any of what you see below?

(that would be the fuel vapour reclaim, a part of the anti-pollution system)
