As I type this, my hand are quite achy from all the screwing around under/in front of my car over the weekend. I was replacing the front bumper! A three spanner job, Haynes manual reckons... Yeah, right! Removing the headlights were an absolute pain in the arse. How on earth did they design it like that?! Those bolts to the wing from the inside and the one under the headlight is impossible to get to. Had to get on of those flexible shaft screwdrivers to get anywhere. But anyway, I managed it!
But today I realised that the headlights are completely out of alignment. The left one is way too high and the right one is way too low. And to make matters worse, it seems that the headlight adjuster doesn't work any more for some reason - on either of the lights. I haven't crawled around to see what it was I did to break them as it was too dark, but before I do tomorrow, anyone know what could be the cause. Also, how can I adjust them without taking them off again? Can I use those screws that are at the top of the headlights? Not sure what they do...?
Also, I fit some fog lights on (so I am cool now), but I couldn't get the stalk off since I can't get to the two screws on each side of the steering wheel to get the covers off. It seems they are torx screws - anyone know what size they are so I can buy the torx screwdriver to go through that teeny tiny hole?
Fitting the bumper was another story, but that's for another day
