fuel filter siemens query!

hi folks apart from the obvious can anyone tell me how the fuel filter housing works,by that i mean has it got a one way valve and is the electrical connection just to tell you if you have water in fuel

Yes it's just a water in fuel 'sensor.
Not sure on the one way valve..idoubt it tho.

cheers loz ,funnily enough cold start doesnt seem as bad only one turn,but lumpy for first min and lots of blue smoke,me thinks its valve stem seals gone ,dont suppose you know how much that would set me back?
