PUG406SRI-Turbo,
This is where you need to post questions regarding Engine and Mechanical posts, I do not answer every PM that I receive only the ones directly asking me about forum related issues or complaints / concerns.
So with that in mind I have included your question for everyone to look at also, as this is a community effort!
I think on the 406 the FSE is pre set to 3bar, what you want to do is aim for around 3.2 - 3.5 bar for say 12.5 p.s.i of turbo boost. To get it right you will need a boost gauge and an Air/Fuel Ratio gauge and an hour or two on the rolling road to set it up properly. Unless you have a fuel cut defender ( FCD ) you do not want to breach 13 p.s.i because of spark cut / limp mode. Also to ensure standard turbo longevity youdo not want to exceed 14.7p.s.i if you do have an FCD.
You are looking to maintaina optimal mixture throughout the rev range at peak boost, at no point should the A/F R be lean, at higher revs before max boost you will want the mixture to be within the late optimal / early rich range. The best person to ask about the maths of setting this and how you work out optimal flow rate and boost level combination is Malachy..
Anyone else got anything else to add that will help our friend ?

My response to your question is this: is your gauge PSI and not Bar rated?PUG406SRI-Turbo wrote: Hi mate i need help i just firstly want to say thank you for the previous help issues i had. Right lol i need help on my FSH dont know how to use it ? its on 40Psi at the mo and i got the gauge as well but dont know how to use it properly and increase power?
