Thats right.... an engine that was only used for 2 years from new! Complete with loom, all sensors... Turbo, Starter, Alternator, PS Pump, Clutch, etc..

Just got to pick it up.... this is the start of my new project! mmmwwahahahahahahaha :arrowl: evil laugh

So Watch this space as I will be updating it as soon as the engine rebuild begins !

Any Ideas on what I should do?

Go to bed at a reasonable time

That was a reasonable time in the evening..... bed wasn't for another 3 hours ! :D

I may not be doing the project now.... I worked my figures out last night and for the set up I wan't its going to cost me about £4k, for that price I can have a 280hp HiFlow Heads engine set up.... complete with everything and even the labour ! Its just a plug and Play..... So me thinks that this engine purchase was now a bad Idea ! Opps !

Still its always good to have a spare... plus I'm wondering how much I could get taken off the price with two engines as part exchanges.....lol

Even then the cost involved would be equal to a R33 GTST skyline !

What to do, to do.... what! ! !

give it too me :cheesy:
keep it and make it the most unique 406 turbo on the planet, i would go for
1.9dt crank
forged pistons and rods
gti6 cylinder head and inlet manifold
dp engineering exhuast manifold
and the biggest turbo and intercooler money can buy 8)

depends how handy you are with fabricating stuff yourself mate, 4k for a 280bhp engine is silly price.

a few dutch cars running 300bhp with ta completly stock 8v turbo, new exhaust manifold , larger injectors + t3 turbo, obviously a remap/aftermarket ecu to suit stock internals handle it fine, even running stock inlet manifold, throttle body etc.

if going much above that though i would deffo look at forgies arp bolts etc,

id also swap to 16v head as youd either need to spend lots on getting the 8v flowed for much over 300bhp.
