Hi all, after a clutch change recently done on my v6, i've had problems getting into the reverse gear, can this be adjusted fairly easy? Anyone got a good guide to do this? Mine is a left hand drive, dont know if it does any difference gearwise..

If its the same gearbox as the 2.0. hdi there could be a problem with the reverse gear cable. Mine would not always go into gear because the ferrule on the gear lever end of the cable had come loose, so when you put it in gear instead of the centre of the cable moving the whole lot was.

I crimped the ferrule onto the cable using a pair of molegrips and that fixed it. As I said this only applies if yours has the same operating system.

If the biting point of the clutch is down near the floor then this is perfectly normal until the clutch beds in a little.

If it crunches when you try to engage 1st could be that the clutch is not disengaging properly as Jaspers post.

No problems in 1. gear. But in 5th it crunches a bit, and sometimes it can be a little difficult getting into gear.

You could try bleeding the clutch, but hopefully it will bed in soon and be fine.
