Very cheap, and would be great if I ever had problems, to have diagnosed what they were before having to visit a dealer...
What do we think? Anyone got one?
Cheers,
James

That looks similar to the one neildavies has got, works on my HPi 406 but not on his 2.2HDi 406 coupe. Works on his wife's 2.0l 206CC but not on my wife's 1.1 206
So your guess is as good as mine....
I'm sure I've heard that none of them work with the HDi engines, but don't quote me on that.

Hmmm, more info needed then as mine is an HDi
It says it does in the item description, but it would be my luck if it didn't of course!

James

what year is your HDi?
most 406 HDi's didnt have the EOBDll protocol till 2004 as it wasnt required, though i know someone on here mentioned about a code reader that worked on post 1999 HDi's

Looks good to me. I might consider getting one for myself. Save a lot of bother in the future.

im going to say this wont work, but as its cheap it may be worth a shot, but im sure that a 2000 HDi wont be OBDll so in theory it shouldnt work but you never know it might

After reading on, I noticed my car (96 1.8 LX (AC)) was not on the list.
Does anyone know of a cheapish code reader that will work on my car? Or what sort of reader I need to be looking for?
Thanks

JAMES!!
Is my car an OBD or an OBDII?

its OBDl, which was vehicle specific, unless you want to fork out arround £2k for a Diag, or if you can find one, a TEP, its a pug specific code reader, seen a few on ebay
