Hi
My clutch is engaging right away. Not slipping or anything. Was just wondering if it could be air. Or is the clutch ending its life?
Want to ask before starting with anything.

Nearly all 406 clutches engage quite close to the floor,
To check if it's worn-out stick it in top gear at about 1500rpm & floor it.
If the rev's rise faster than the road speed then it's slipping & worn-out.
Mine would shoot up when it hit 2000rpm but I did have a caravan on the back.

It is not worn as such. It's just that I just have to touch the pedal. Maybe one inch down, from the very top, and it's engaging. Dont know how old the clutch is. This is my first Peugeot so Im not that familiar with it yet. I have changed the rear brakecalipers. Could that maybe cause air in the clutch line?

Yeah my clutch engaged at top of the pedal travel on both my 406s. It's a common "issue", which is more of a characteristic.
