Fake Ferodos?

Just bought some 'old stock' Ferodo pads off 'you know where' for a tenner.
The box looks old & dog eared but genuine, the backing plates look real, but the compound looks course & porous with no bevels at the ends.

I'm no expert on pads, has anyone knowingly had fakes? How do you tell?
For a tenner I'm not going to cry about it but I won't do it again.

Ferodos usually have a rough, course surface, always have.

In my mind if they're so old (sound at least 10 years + ?) then is there not a risk of the friction material detaching from the backing?

Would the adhesive fail over time?
Rust jacking will separate compound from backing plate for sure, but these are clean.
They probably are about 10 years old.

I don't know actually it was just a thought. Pads are riveted through the backing aren't they? whether there's a risk of them becoming detached due to age I'm not sure, Jasper will know better than me.
