Hi, not been on the board in a while, still got the Hdi estate, 99 plate and 115k. DMF has gone, thought it might have been the bottom engine mount as I looked at it and it was well shot so I replaced that but it wasn't the problem. Taking off causes a lot of vibration and pumping through the clutch peddle. Once rolling car drives fine but pumps the peddle on gear changes, clutch not slipping. I did have the clutch replaced about 3 years ago and the garage said that the DMF was fine with no play in it and so didn't change it.
Quotes are from £848 to £960 so far. I can no longer do the work myself due to disability and spinal issues, motorbike, and was surprised at the quotes received so far, I know VAT and garages are @£60/hr but really?

Mine was a bit cheaper.
New Luk flywheel with car parts discount, was £245.
Clutch was new old stock from a Peugeot garage oop north, £60
Labour was £200.

It's a lot of money, but if you like the car and it's reliable then it's probably better than buying a replacement car with unknown issues...

Moral of the story as has been said before,
Allways replace the DMF when replacing a clutch due to the expense & agro

Agreed: probably best to do it rather than buy another car as you're just swapping problems that you do know about for problems that you don't know about.

Those prices are a bit steep. I had the DMF on my 407 replaced for less than that.

Is it worth considering a solid flywheel? The 110 seems to tolerate the solid conversion well.

The solid mass flywheel conversion is steeper than a DMF & your last ones done 115k
How many miles are you planning on doing.

It's the labour that's killing you if I remember correctly it book's as a eight & half hour job
I don't think you'll find anywhere that charges less than £50 an hour + vat + parts.

I just had a quick look at eurocarparts, what's your engine code RHZ DMF is £339 discounted but you may get a bit more off
RHS is £559.00 discounted, that is for the DMF only the clutch kit is a further £135.99
So I make that to be around £905 + VAT & that's for the cheaper DMF
