Dunno, it died, what has happened

Hi, so my car has just died, it felt like it ran out of diesel, but theres diesel in it, no coughs nothing, everything was normal and it died, its a 406 2.0 110 '99 estate

First you need to check if there are any codes stored by using PP2000.

Then check if the pump(s) are working as they're supposed to and that the fuel filter has not been clogged. When did you replace it last time? Any chance of water in the tank (has it been standing for an excessive period of time)?

Hopefully not the cam belt......
There is a fuse for the fuel pump, worth checking too.
