Think the clutch might be slipping, not surprising at 110K with a remap 18 months ago.
Will the 110 clutch fit or is that DMF?

Yes the 110 hp clutch uses a DMF. Clutch life depends largely on how you drive it, my first 406 had done 246K on the originals, if it is actually slipping you can extend its life by many miles by not letting it slip - and improve its fuel consumption.

So no upgrade available without going to a 'performance part' ?

Some people fit a 90 solid flywheel in a 110 as an upgrade - so think of it as already having a performance flywheel......
A standard clutch will easily cope with up to 150bhp, with the solid flywheel so no need to upgrade.

Standard it is then.
Any brands to avoid? I wouldn't fit a really cheap one anyway, rather just do it once.

LUK - cheap enough using some weekend discount code from CP4L or similar...
Type in the code - ' forum40 ' at GSF - to get one for £83 delivered

LUK, Valeo, Borg&Becks all OK?
Any other bits to change while it's out?

Luk is the o.e clutch
That's what I fitted & what came out,
also what John (jasper5) would recommend.
If doing the job yourself, some gearbox oil 2 liters for a drain & refill, both driveshaft seals, thrust release bearing
& the shaft thing that the clutch release bearing slides on.
The last item is folly to neglect, just ask our own highlander

As if or when it fails the whole job has to be repeated just to change a metal tube that cost less than a tenner

Don't forget the crank seal.....
It's only changeable when the flywheel is off, so may as well do it..

It was my donor car - I only got rid of it 2 days ago.....
I don't need a donor 406 anymore when we no longer have a 406 - only a Picasso and a T4

Forgive me Kelv,
I thought the Monaco blue executive became your donor when you replaced it due to clutch slippage,
due to oil contamination
Didn't you replace it with the China blue glx and robbed all the best bits off the executive.

Yes I did, and it stayed on my drive for another 6 months after I sold the GLX....
