Hi I was hoping someone could help me find the torque spec for the 406 Coupe 1998 d8 v6

I'm going to be servicing it; need to know the torque requirements of the:

Oil Sump nut
Brake caliper bolts
Brake slider bolts
Wheel nuts
Spark plugs
Rocker cover gasket bolts

And any others you guys recommend

Much appreciated guys...
regards!

If you Google it there is a very useful site that pops up with all the torque settings that you need :cheesy:

:? Sorry pal but that last comment is lost on me,
I have been working car's & bikes for the last 35 years  , most garages / mechanics I know would not bother with torque settings for the items you mentioned
Brake calipers mounting bolts, F off tight,
Slider bolts pretty tight,
Plugs, hand tight / screw in with wrench until it just bottoms then a quater of a turn, just to compress the sealing washer / 12lbf
Sump bolt, new coper sealing washer, again tighten up until bottoms & a quater of a turn / 18 lbf
Rocker cover bolts, I believe are 6mm into a alloy head so no more than 8 lbf, but have a look over on the coupe club forum
There is a how to on resealing Rocker covers :)
Hope this is of some help DDD.

Come to think of it your offer to help people in Leicestershire, (however you spell it), could be seen as discriminatory to people in neighbouring counties.
