Sluggish and surging?

My 110 hdi is acting strange, very sluggish upto 1500, and it has a surge in power when doing 70etc any ideas guys??

Try disconnecting the MAF first and see if that evens it out. Has the fuel filter been changed lately?

got the car checked out with a full diagnostic took about 30 mins , only showed breathing probs, he suggested egr cleaner
So I've put some in , which also cleans the lines/ injectors
Can't remember last time it had any cleaner in
next step blank off the egr valve ! going to order a blanking plate today

on 407's this is always the EGr, just blank it saves any hassle
