Air Doser

Post by exec406 »

Hi

I'm looking for the part number for an Air Doser for a 406 2.2 HDi (DW12TED4) This link gives more info:

https://www.peugeotcentral.co.uk/ftopic-9360.html

I'm having intermittent acceleration issues on the car and according to the link below someone had an issue with intermittent acceleration and cleaned out the air doser which fixed the issue (this was on a 2.0 HDi)

Thanks

The 2.2 is different.
You can eliminate the air doser as the cause by disconnecting and plugging the vacuum pipe from the solenoid valve to the air doser vacuum capsule.
The flap return spring will force the air doser into the open, intercooler to manifold position.
(If you want to verify the position, remove the pipe from the intercooler and check the flap).

I doubt it's your problem, but this will prove it either way at no cost

Thanks.

The thing about the flat spot in acceleration is that it really only happens at lower speeds and going uphill. Through the day, the acceleration gets better than say first thing in the morning.

With someone mentioning on one of the quoted threads above "Just for archives, I remedied the problem by cleaning out the Air Doser assembly, as it was intermittently sticking shut!"

Could that explain getting better acceleration through the day - an intermittent air doser sticking shut? The only other thing I can think of is the MAF as I've replaced: swirl flap, swirl flap diaphragm, airbox electrovalve. The three solenoid valves on the bulkhead have been checked / replaced where required.

I would try disabling the egr and if it's effective blank it off.
In my experience this gives you much improved throttle response and low speed pull, particularly after a period on the overrun.
