Boost gauge install hdi 90

Post by Gilly »

Hi guys,

Can someone clarify where to plumb a boost line into on the hdi90.
As this has no intercooler do I tap into the intake manifold or is there an easier option?
Would like to know what my turbo is doing...

Thanks in advance!

This is the diagram showing the turbo pipes.
If you have an air doser, that seems to be the best place to drill a hole.
Otherwise in the 90 degree hose no. 4.
Think it is best to detach the hose when drilling a hole in it, to prevent the debris from entering the inlet.

Thank you very much for your reply! This helps a lot.
I’m considering adding an intercooler so this also helps the pipe layout for me.

Here is a diagram of the extra plumbing you'd need:
