Please can anyone share their experience on a V6 clutch change? Specifically, I need to know how to engage the release bearing in the clutch cover when the gearbox is refitted to the engine?
I'd be grateful for any replies. Thank you
With best regards

I've no idea myself (the last clutch I did myself was on a mk 4 Cortina

) but I'm sure we have one. Hold on.... Here

Thanks Steve.
Mk 4 Cortina - now that takes me back, changing clutches in those was a total doddle compared to more modern stuff. I think with the Pug and its 'pulling' clutch, there'll be a method to locate and lock the release bearing into the clutch cover.
It may be a case of exerting some force onto the clutch actuating arm until the bearing clicks as it locates into the clutch cover - that was the case with an Alfa Romeo 156 I used to own. Rather than assume that I'm hoping that someone knows the correct way to do it.
Fingers crossed
