I hope I am posting in the correct section, I have 2003 HDI 110 Estate Vin No : VF38ERHZF81641321 I am trying to source a rear silencer/tail pipe and would be grateful if someone could come up with the correct OE part number, I have tried ordering twice and have been told that the part I ordered wont fit even though my car is listed in the fitment.

The box has a mounting for the rubber at the front LH side and about halfway down on the RH side looking from the mounting that fits to the centre section with the Clamp

If I could get the correct Peugeot part number for my car I could at least confront the supplier

9638 is 30th March 2003, so you're in the middle somewhere - I no longer have the ability to decode your vin for an rpo but it'll be on the sticker on your b-post. Don't trust the seller's application charts, they're usually complete garbage.

Thanks for the link, much appreciated, the number on my "A" post is 0982289, I am in total agreement that the suppliers have no Idea what fits what, the listing on the link gives a part number for "With OP 09639 but no number later than that, would I be correct in thinking that it means anything after 09639 ?

My previous 406 which was also a diesel estate was 0942489 on the "A" pillar and the rear exhaust was exactly the same as the one on the 0982289 yet the part numbers appear to be different, even the position of the hangers under the back of the car are in the same place, this is driving me Nuts

It says since 9639 so it covers both of yours. I wouldn't assume what's on your car is original...
