We Trick to get rid of the service light( if not known)

Post by stewarty.c »

Alright guys i was tlking to someone the other day and was asking him about a peugeot taxi that he had and about what milage and stuff was on it just as general chit chat (3 year old taxi 175,000 miles and still going sweet)
He then said is your we service spanner up on you car. so told him yes and he told me how to get rid of it when i got the car serviced, so here it is guys.

To remove the service spanner. put the key in the ignition(still switched off.) push and hold the trip button(mileage trip reset button) and switch the ignition on while still holding the trip button. taadaaaaa service spanner gone. (no trip to peugeot for them to charge you or anyone else for that matter.)

hope that helps a few people.

well some people like myself who didnt get the service book with there car might not have known that. and since it was also my 1st peugeot and maybe some other peoples on the forum i thought it would be handy to know instead of going to peugeot and them charging £10 to put the light out

As trem1 says most of us have heard that before. But all credit stewarty.c,
I personally think it is something that should be entered in the knowledge base for reference for members yet to acquire this knowledge.
