Offside track rod end ball joint has slight play

Post by robbie123 »

Hello AGAIN!!!!

Yeh I knwo you think I have bought a dog of a car but it is low mileage and has had alot of money spent on it. Now I notice on my advisory for the MOT a from a month ago that the Offside track rod end ball joint has slight play in it. Just wanna get it sorted so how do I replace/repair? Suspension is another thing I'm not great with so any advice is much appreciated :)

most mot testers are usually idiots
there is usually never play in a track rod end, its the steering rod that wears out
they are about £35 and fairly simple to change, but im pretty sure you need a special spanner, or a bloody big one to unscrew the joint from the rack
