people fail to realise the work we actually do, if you saw what was involved in changing a V6 belt, maybe you would understand, sorry for my ranting but i hate how people fail to appreciate the work we put in for such pitiful moneypauloharpo wrote:It's crazy isn't it? That, and the fact that car manufacturers make it less and less accessible to have ANYTHING done on a car by the DYIer...

If i had a grand to use to get the timing belt done i would happly pay for an expert to do it, because their is not a chance in hell that i would be able to do it. If i did wont to do it i would have to get james to tell me what to do every step of the way and intern i would pay him via paypall for his knowledgejameslxdt wrote:people fail to realise the work we actually do, if you saw what was involved in changing a V6 belt, maybe you would understand, sorry for my ranting but i hate how people fail to appreciate the work we put in for such pitiful moneypauloharpo wrote:It's crazy isn't it? The fact of the matter is it just seems a little silly to blow a grand on a car that can only be worth at best a grand

Actually, wonder what the weather's going to be like tomorrow... Rain. Crap. So much for getting it done while off work :/
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang
