hello peeps.... can you ell me what gose here??
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=JPU8NSBA <---- sorry bout the download
is this a air intake??
i have found a air intake. as their is a tube that gose into the left hand side of the bumper, but it cant be gathering much air as its above the fog light and under the headlight.
just so you know, the front end has been fixed, it had a new fan, intercooler, rad + bumper + cross member. and since i got it back on the road it is'nt as powerfull as before. im guessing that it that hole is a air intake, the that might be what is affecting my performance as it will only be sucking in warm/hot air from the engine, where as it should be getting cool/cold air.
cheerz peeps

ok i had a look a anouther 2.1 TD at the car lot, and that has the same hole, so unsure.
also can anyne help with these other pictures???
dose anyone know where this pipe gose to??

the bracket you see is where the air filter box should be.
also is anything suopposed to be here??

think its on the gearbox?? just that it looks like its got a thread in it which something might be screwed in
and the 4 back tubes that have the 12v Turbo Diesel written on, should their be leakege coming from them??

not much, i noticed it the other day, so wiped it clean, now its re-appeared.
thanks for any help.
my quest is to find out WHY my va va VOOOOM has gone since it has been "fixed"
as to get to 70/80 you have to make it work, 4000 rev....
i cant overtake any more, and it dosnt pull like a train, when it used to quietly pull me up hills at 80, now it seems to be hard work to get up to 60 on a hill.
many thanks
dan

Hi the pipe should go onto the intercooler about half way down the side it can be a bugger to see but its there i hope this helps and get some new connect tubes(the black rubber rings) no air should be coming out. Both of these things will affect booooost !!!!

In the last pic, that's the O-rings that are perished. I had the same thing. No effect on performance but does make a mess. Fairly cheap to do as well (15 quid for the parts if you fit it yourself)

fitted the pipe, the part it was supposed to connect to was blocked off.

the O-Rings.... is that gunna be a problem, or no need to rush??

I had mine leaking for about 6 months before I was bothered enough to replace them. So don't think it's that critical. But obviously, the sooner the better as with most things

Forgive me if I'm wrong here but if your car has been repaired after an accident? then surely all these running issues are the fault of that repairer who should fix them for you.
