you've got a KKK turbo welly, these always leak like that, the garret's are far better, as they are also a far better turbo, looks like its comming from the oil pressure inlet at the top, the oil return gasket usually leaks quite badly too, though i cant really be sure from them pics

KKK Turbo

that's shite, I wanted a Garret
No wonder it whistles like a Lorry
So, I suppose this is another Peugeot 'Bargain Bucket' parts lottery then??? some have KKK, some have Garret? are they interchangeable easily enough do you know?
Could this explain why some HDi's are a bit faster than others?

I've heard to remove the Turbo which has 4 bolts takes all day, as they is no room to turn.
Then it take another all day job to put the 4 bolts back in.

I think whoever ends up with my car next shall have that to look forward to then
The car still pulls like a train, 100 comes up in no time, I'll leave it alone

Same here, when I got my Crankshaft pulley done, they was a lot of smoke coming from the Turbo area.
Its not been there since, and all feels alright, but still 2 full days labour + cost of Turbo or Gasket is a worry.
Another reason why I want rid of the car for.

changing the HDi turbo is quite a bitch, not like the D8 1.9 TD which can be done in about 3 hours, but dont mention the 2.1 as you have to remove the engine
as for upgrading to a garett you need a exhuast manifold, turbo (obviously) and the oil inlet and outlet pipes and the various gaskets, the garret 'charged 110 are slightly faster once moving as they have an overall better flow rate than the KKK, but the KKK has MUCH less lag but a shity internal wastgate (well the K14 anyway)
dont worry about the whistle its perfectley normal for a diesel turbo too be loud, garett or KKK

Well my turbo is a KKK too, apparently made by Borg Warner. Just thought I'd let you know.
Its not as oily as Wellys, looks a pig to change though from underneath.
