Bypass HDi Particulate Filter ???

Hi, I want to experiment with bypassing the particulate filter on a 2.2 HDi (as it is really getting on my nerves),

I know it's probably a long shot but does any know (or know where I can find out) the resistance values for the three filter sensors so I can bypass them and trick the car into thinking the filter is there and working fine??

you cant just use resistors to confuse the pressure sensors and the differential pressure sensor, a while ago, i was trying to come up with a device that would take place of the sensors, but i gave up, you basically need to get the ecu to think the particulate filter is never blocked, but occasionally blocked, i.e. every 60k or whatever the interval is for replacement, but in doing this it will very likely upset something else on the system, and log some bizzare BSi faults and still throw the car into limp mode, if you can read and write binary code, and could create a program that would interface through the diagnostic socket, which would be very hard as the 2.2 isnt EOBD even though it meets EURO4 standards, so in the long term its better to just fill up with the eloys fluid and live with it, its an amazing system just woefully reliable :lol:

Surely if you give the ECU the optimum readings back from the sensors (like with the resistors they use to trick the air flow meter on some cars if you use an induction kit) and have all the counters and ECU reset every 40,000 miles or so it's just going to think your an over efficient owner who does everything before it's needed and everything is great! or is it not that simple . . . .

I was also wondering what would happen if you used an ECU off a 2.0 HDi (if it fits) and just unplug the sensors, basically the same engine but one has a particle filter and the other doesn't. would the ECU run a slightly different engine as they are all basically the same or would you be able to remap a 2.0 ECU to run a 2.2 do you think ?

its actually a completley different engine from the 2.0 HDi, you would need an engine harness and a BSi and software and in tank fuel pump, really not worth the effort
