Got a oily little leak in my intercooler, anyone know where to get one
from other than scrappy or fleabay. Would really like to replace it with
a new one but quoted £ 240 with the vat from main stealers and wondered if
anyone else did them ...

Cheers james

have found one for £125 delivered will keep looking , was wondering
if this has anything to do with having it re mapped as since then it has split the bottom
intercooler hose and now the intercooler has popped

Yes, typically the hose will split first with remapped HDi's then the intercooler - but by then the damage is already done and in 99% of cases the engine damage is irepairable and the car is scrapped.

You might want to find out why you have oil in your 'cooler though - on petrol cars its a sign the turbos seals are on the way out.

Pretty normal on our pugs TBH. You wanna see my Turbo it's covered in oil on the outside

Cool beans.
Seems I've just climbed aboard another learning curve rollercoaster!

Don't worry puggy. I've had my 2.1 chipped well over 2 years ago (about 45k miles since) and nothing has split or leaked yet..but then mine is a D8 so...

Besides, you're quite handy with gaffer tape and bits of discarded Strongbow cans when it comes to mending intercooler components

Well thanks for that captain sort of a double reminder you got in there, the
eventful day out in wales plus a reminder of how superior the D8's are
Boooo Hoooooo
