Got a oily little leak in my intercooler, anyone know where to get one
from other than scrappy or fleabay. Would really like to replace it with
a new one but quoted £ 240 with the vat from main stealers and wondered if
anyone else did them ...

Cheers james :D :D have found one for £125 delivered will keep looking , was wondering
if this has anything to do with having it re mapped as since then it has split the bottom
intercooler hose and now the intercooler has popped :|

Yes, typically the hose will split first with remapped HDi's then the intercooler - but by then the damage is already done and in 99% of cases the engine damage is irepairable and the car is scrapped.

You might want to find out why you have oil in your 'cooler though - on petrol cars its a sign the turbos seals are on the way out.

Cool beans.

Seems I've just climbed aboard another learning curve rollercoaster!

Don't worry puggy. I've had my 2.1 chipped well over 2 years ago (about 45k miles since) and nothing has split or leaked yet..but then mine is a D8 so... :P Besides, you're quite handy with gaffer tape and bits of discarded Strongbow cans when it comes to mending intercooler components

Well thanks for that captain sort of a double reminder you got in there, the
eventful day out in wales plus a reminder of how superior the D8's are

Boooo Hoooooo
