Right, about to get my Cambelt changed on my 406 HDI 110 as I've got three 2k mile trips to France comming up before end of feb. My local Peugeot Specialist has quoted:

£350 Cambelt Replacement (inc vat)
£90 for the pulley on top.

Peugeot in Rochester quote £140 for the part, does this mean the garage is probably quoting for replacement with the old version of the bottom pulley or a generic part? Tempted to buy the pulley and ask them to fit it when they do the cambelt!!

Pulley is about £70, so while they doing the cambelt £20 labour would all it should be really.

Its only a 5 min job once the driver wheel arch surround is removed.

The proper Peugeot/Citroen Pulley is about £129.00, I got one early this year.

I think the Cambelt sounds a bit dear to be honest I would expect around £250.00 including changing the pulley (which you have to take off anyway).

Get the water pump changed whilst they are there!
