Hello guys

I am about to put a replacement pump in from a donor car. The question has been raised as to weather the pump electronics are coded for security to the key.

Anyone know whats what with this?

I am not sure if theis shoud be posted in electrical or mecanical so I'v done both. Sorry

I doubt it's got anything to do with the key but I did read somewhere that new engine management parts have to be "introduced" to the ECU.

the pumps are not coded just change it prime it up and it will start
