Hi peeps,

I get idle jumps from 600-800rpm when standing and the car dies sometimes when I stop. Usually when I clutch the rpms drop to 600 then it dies.
(oh btw did I mention I bought a 2nd 406? Same color and year too!)

I did the usuall oil change, all filters, new sparkers. No difference.

Could it be dirty injecters? Any safe/easy way to test?
I tried a higher idle but it still dies.

btw2: wtf happended to the forum lol, I`m gone a week or so and come back to this....

i used to have this problem mate with my xfz motor but i did change the ignition coil and everything sorted ( except the idle speed which is about 680-700 rpm as i figure it out with my tester)!!

Well just wanted to post results.

Followed the FAQ except for the "on the 4th time you turn the ignition on DONT touch the throttle"

I have to throttle it to 900-1000rpm otherwise the car wont stay on. (Which it still does every morning :( )

It doesn`t die anymore at stoplights ect. and the gear changes are slightly better.

Thanks james!

the cold starting could be a faulty green coolant temp sender, another common problem
