2.0L HDI pressure in rocker case and strange noise

I have a 51 plate 2.0 hdi with 101.000 miles.I noticed that I have pressure in the rocker box and a lot of noise,not rattles or anything like that but I was told thats normal for this car.Also I have a noise like the exaust is blowing from ,well by my feet in the engine bay,it;s like when you take the air filter out like an hollow sound,i've been told it could be the wastegate valve sticking as its not electric as the 2.2 the car is sluggish sometimes but not that it's undriveable.it does'nt use oil or water,the exaust is fine,but if you give it a hard rev when parked you hear a rattle on the way down but only small anyone else had this HELP
