hi guyz

just been speaking with an old chappy who fixes cars, he gave me a quote for a cambelt change - he quoted 70 quid all in :?

he explained how he changed the cam belt over - he said he splits the old belt in half keeping half of the old belt on the cam - then gets the new one and slides it half on and then slides the old belt off and then taps the new belt into place.

he explained that he has done loads of 406's and even done the one on his drive - a gleeming 406 HDI exec

i would like some feedback on the changing process is this something that can be achived as this dude seemed like he new the crack and he wasnt just after my money - the guy is kinda well off and he's about 60+ and works from his house.

TIA
