As far as I know it's supposed to be a sealed system, if it was leaking the whole lot should have been replaced as it's not meant to be topped up. If it' not releasing properly it needs looking at. Is your mechanic a ten thumbed moron?

I have almost the same motor (1997 - 225k - 2.1TD -GLX) Sounds like my number 2 mechanic did the job......he lifted the filler cap and said that "as it was a sealed system it would never need topping up" - oooh err!! Won't be going back to him then!!
I have to say that other than second gear, which was (and still is) "Notchy" the new £320 clutch has performed faultlessly since about March 2007/7500 miles ago - fingers crossed.
This is my first car with this type of clutch and I don't really know what to expect anyway.
By the way, I am the number 3 mechanic as I have a bigger hammer :cheesy:
Good Luck & I suppose its alright to say Merry Humbug now, sorry Christmas
