2.2 HDi, aaarrrggghhh, please help

I have a 2000 2.2 HDi pug that is in serious danger of being pushed off a cliff, if any one can advise how to get this sorted it would be much appreciated.

Took it to garage and had everything cleared as the car was in perminent limp mode and I could not clear it with my ELM323 reader,

it was showing an overboost on the Turbo plus more errors but the car was working again and just tripping into limp mode when the turbo overboosted but fine again after turning the ignition on and off.

I took the turbo off and decoked it, put it all back together but the car went back into perminent limp mode so took it in to have the ECU cleared down again. Now the garage can't clear the errors and I am getting a headache, they have given me a list though!

I have got P1447 - differential sensor pressure too high
P1429 - differential pressure signal low
(is there a right way around for the two pressure pipes on the fap or should this not matter?)

P1421 - EGT Sensor (no idea what or where this is or what may be wrong with it!!)

P1519 - Engine Oil Sensor Malfunction (no idea where this is?)

P0245 - Turbo pressure control (I think this could be the over boost problem still ???)

P0380. Glow Plug/Heater Circuit "A" Malfunction

And irritatingly as I just bought a new one P0100 MAF sensor signal too high.

Arrggghhh, any advice that doesn't involve taking the thing to peugeot (that's my last resort at £80 per hour) would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, one thing I forgot! does anyone (in the world) have a picture or diagram for the three vacuum solenoids at the back of the engine as I can't find one anywhere, I just want to double check they are all going to and from the right place as it looks like one of these (I thinks it's the EGR one) seems to go to two diaphragms with no vacuum, surely that can't be right??

first off, overboost is usually caused by the turbo control solenoid being stuck open, its the one nearest the drivers side as you look at the bulk head under the bonnet, take the solenoid off and put a vacuum tester on it, if it doesnt hold vacuum at all then its faulty, a new one is £37!

next the PEF, what mileage are you at?
the favorite on this system is the differential pressure sensor, but the pipes are meant to go one way round, if they are wrong it will think the filter is permenatley blocked after a forced regeneration,
the EGT sensor is on the PEF filter as it informs the ECU if the regeneration is effective when taking place
this is probably comming up as the differential sensor is faulty
then the P0380 needs to be ignored, its a fault in the EDC15C2 system, all common rails running this system, not just pugs (with or without PEF) have this fault logged

you need to get the the live data readout from the differential pressure sensor, if its stuck on one reading when its at idle and reving the balls of it, its probably the sensor blocked solid, after replacing the sensor it will take a fair few attempts to clear the fault codes, after wards give the car a bloody good thrashing and all should be well

Really, does that apply to a 110 hdi? i've got this fault code been there all the time i've had the car!

OK, had enough now, changed particle filter differential sensor and took back in to get a reset as if I can clear the filter errors it will work OK and I can then look at the other probs . . . now being told I am showing a fault with the Particulate filter ECU . . .

Anyone got a sledge hammer

did the faults clear, sometimes it can take a fair few attempts on the 2.2 to get the codes cleared, whats the live data readout on the differential sensor?
do the post filter figures stay the same all the time?

Hi, have got some info that makes everything a bit clearer, the Particulate filter ECU the garage referred to is apparently the fluid ECU, I was told by the garage that I was showing an error that my fluid cap was missing that will not clear no matter what they do. Some one has pointed out that this is the filler cap not the fluid cap (which makes far more sense) so will attack this and hopefully this will solve the problem.

Other than this most other errors have now cleared, was indeed a faulty pressure sensor, my guess is . . . . .
Faulty filler cap >>>> Not dosing >>>> carbon not burning >>>> blocked filter & gunked up pressure sensor
Just a guess though.

We will see if this resolves the problems once and for all . . .

I think there's some info on here about 'Fuel tank access open' which appears on the MFD and is triggered by a silly switch on the fuel filler flap.

Not all D9's have the system, but some do.
