Changing cam belt & aux belt

Hi everyone :)
I've finally got to knuckle down and get this job done. I've got the 2l petrol turbo engine, D8.
I know the water pump should be done as well (Ebay £38!) but are there any other components that should be replaced at the same time?
Thanks for any advice :)

It's gonna be a big job cos I've got the rad & bottom hose to replace which I may as well do while the coolant is drained off

I know, I'm not relishing the thought. I do like a challenge though
Happy days keeping our cars running :cheesy:

Er, yeah, "had"...

First problem is getting the aux belt off. On mine the tensioner was covered in gunk and pretty siezed up. Took a long time to work it free. Then I ran into the problem of not actually being able to get the crankshaft pullet bolt off (too tight for my tools). And that's where it's stayed :( Luckily I have a new job now and if I get through the MOT with the damn rear seat how it is, I'll get it sorted.

One word of advice: Taking the top engine mount (4 nuts/bolts on the engine, one on the done-shaped mount and 3 at the back) and ECU box out makes life SO much easier!

Also when you've loosened the aux belt tensioner so you can move it, you can turn it loose and lob an allen key in the little hole in it to lock it down.
