Hi, can anyone tell me where the VCT Solonoid is on a 2.2 HDi, I am getting both ODB errors P0020 & P0022 which would suggest to me the wiring on this is suspect rather than the solonoid itself. Would help if I could find it to check though!

I am guesing it's one of the solenoids on the bulkhead left hand side one controls the turbo wastegate, the other the EGR although the 2.2 maybe differnt in some ways due to the variable vane turbo.
If you're able to do your own ECU reset's then can't you unplug the solenoids one at a time to see which one's which? I don't know if this will cause any trouble?

Many thanks, unfortunatley it's not one of those, it's on the engine somewhere and uses a combination of oil pressure and an electronic solonoid to vary the timing, can't find a picture of it anywhere though, I'm looking through my parts catalogue but also can't find it . . .

Noooooooo! That's the 3.0V6 with VVT. The ECU is a bit stupid and may list stuff you haven't got

the HDi does not have variable valve timing.

HDis do indeed have invariable valve timing, especially when the cambelt goes ping...

If I haven't got one that may explain why I can't find it.
Doesn't explain why it keeps telling me the circuit for it is knackered and my timings over retarded though
