just wondering what everyone gauges sit at.? My 2.0lt hdi 110 sits at 90 on the water temp and the 1st notch past 90 on the oil temp on a 80mph motorway run. fuel gauge is usually in the lower quart. Also mpg, (honest mpg) mine is not so good at the moment. im struggleing to average 40 mpg. (on the computer thingy) i do 250-300 miles per week and minimum of 250 of that in all motorway cruisin at 70-80mph. thoughts please!.

I'm managing 21.3mpg going to work at the moment
At least I can still pull over 40mpg on the motorways as long as I keep under indicated 60mph
Shockingly in the V6 there's very little difference between cruising at 70mph (28mpg), 100mph (26mpg) and 150+ (22mpg)
The tubby would do more mpg at 60 (>50mpg) but
much less any faster than that - 70mph (27mpg), 100mph (12mpg) and top end was about 140mph (7mpg)
Disclaimer: all speeds are as indicated (9.8% high on the tubby, estimated around 10% high on the V6). Over 70mph was legally achieved in Germany on unrestricted Autobahns.

Reclaimer: The Autobarn is now located in England and is called the M6 Toll Road
My HDi averages 40MPG on rural roads (fairly easy traffic) over the last 1,400 miles and showing an average speed of 31MPH then 33MPG is lowest ever door to door etc. On steady motorways at 80 ish then 53 MPG is easy to achieve and high 50's in smooth flowing 50 to 60MPH A roads.
You must let the 'Average' settle out into a steady reading (a reading which doesn't change for an hour etc) - it can be missleading the fuel compute is quite accurate though (unlike BMW's).
