Can anybody can help with this?
I've a HDI 90 and thinking of eking out my readies by using veggie oil instead of giving all my cash to H.M. Gov/Shell!!!!
Dont you just hate it when you read about the profits made by the fuel companys and the extra revenue the government is raking in on the back of the recent price hikes?
Sorry, gripe over!!!
I understand that there is a problem with compatability of Lucas fuel pumps and veggie.
How can i tell if I have a Lucas or a Bosch pump?
Is this feasable with the HDI engine?

I was thinking of doing this on my HDi 110, but I read somewhere you will do a lot of damage using veggie oil in a HDi car.
You need a 1.9td or 2.1td with a Bosch fuel pump.

Look at the fuel pump it should say Bosch or Lucas. But its not advisable on a HDi.

There was a post that James made a while back warning against veggie oil in an HDi.
It's to do with the high pressure on the common rail; I'm sure it's in the engine sub-forum somewhere.
