Hey everyone
D8 Petrol Tubby
When I start the car it sounds as though it's missing on one cylinder. I have to keep the revs up for about 30 secs and then the engine runs normally. No problems at all after that
I changed the plugs (which were knackered but a good tan colour on the electrodes); I've still got to get new leads but could it be anything else?
I've also cleaned out the idle air valve (as per mjb's advice in the rough running thread!) which made no difference at all.
I'd be really grateful for any advice!

Taking the tube off the throttle body that goes to the idle valve will tell you if it's an airflow problem or not. Yanking HTs in order will tell you if it's actually missing. Could be a semi-clogged injector?
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang
Good idea on the hose Matt, I think I'll just change the leads anyway as they are pretty manky! (And I don't trust the insulation! )
