hi
i just got a bailey dv26 (i think) are these ment to be audible?
cos the standard recirculating valve when it was disconnected from the air intake sounded better.
or do they need wearing in?
or have i fitted it wrong?
thanks

DV26 evo is what is needed for the 406, the problem you have is that revving it at standstill will do little to make it sound.... if you have a vaccum leak you can forget it..

you need 3rd gear and above to make a good sound from it... unless you do the 12 p.s.i mod

sound interesting tell me more
my boost gauge and bleed valve arrived today what is the best psi to set it to?
and if increase the psi will it sound better?
i took the sound proofing off from the underside of the bonet and it sounds sweet but still a little whisper though.
thanks again

12.5 p.s.i is the max before spikes take it to over the 12.9/13 p.s.i boost cut teritory...
In every gear you will get the full 12 psi and the ECU can cope with this... The sound at 12 psi on an DV26 evo is cool... even low in the revs you will have it chirping ! !

This is also what I want

he he
I think the dump valve I've got is a bailey as it looks like it with a piston instead of a diaphram... but most likely not the DV26... what earlyer ones did they do? I must admit, it does like to chirp after it has blown off, when I first got the car, I thought that something was wrong
Can't wait to get my car into a state where I can fit a bleed valve and boost gauge for 'optimal' performance

muha ha ha ha!
