truth is it depends on what 406 you have
if its a 1.9td then it seems ok
if its a 2.1td then no
if its an hdi then hell no
only problem is veggie oil ain't that cheap anymore i'm paying about 85p a litre and it's alot of grief putting it in the tank

have u been using it long ian? does it do much damage to the engine, or clog up the filter/pump/pipes?

been using it for about 12-16 weeks pretty much since i got the 406
doesnt seem to do any damage only thing is if you run it at a higher mix of oil the car is hard to start in the morn and hunts till it warms up
i've been changing the fuel filter every 3-4 weeks but i do about 1000-1500 miles a week and i get the filters at cost +10%+vat

Why can't the 2.1td run on veg oil?

'cos it'll kill the fuel pump. Apparently it's like light bulbs, it might last for quite a while or it might go in a matter of seconds.

1.9 TD on a bosch pump will run veg very happily you just have to watch out for old seals perishing and causing a leak, and also blockages caused by the sludge in the tank being picked up by the veg.
2.1 TD uses a Lucas fly by wire pump, they will not tolerate a higher viscosity fuel (like the Lucas pump on the 1.9 TD, usually late 306) and they will snap in half if you risk it. They are a bit better mpg wise so best stick to biodiesel.

Yes, they're a little bit cheaper and easier to fit though.

only place that does it is the stealers and they want ................... wait for it ........................ £376 & gordons cut
ok it does come with the complete headlamp (it's a sealed unit apparently) and vaux do give you a 10 year warranty unless your kid twats a cricket ball into it
