406 hydraulic clutches are sealed-for-life units, you need to replace the lot (master, slave and reservoir). Thankfully it's an easy job. The cylinder just unclips and the cylinders just need pushing/levering in while turning anticlockwise to undo. You may need to take off a few plastic panels at the back of the engine bay and possibly the air box (dunno where that is on diseasels) but it's a 20-30min job to replace one on a petrol turbo.
