FIRST PUG EVER

Today I got a mint 95 2L petrol 406 but I aint got the manual yet .Can anyone tell me what that gauge is on the left of the clocks opposit side to the temp gauge.Thanks

On most cars it'll just be the oil level for the first 15 seconds after ignition's on. I think as far as petrols go it's only the V6 which uses it as a temperature gauge too

On D9s it's the oil temp, the level is done on the odometer/service indicator thing. On my D8 it does the oil level, it only works for a few seconds after the ignition goes on, after that it's dead. Hey, maybe it's different on petrol versions

Yep my first pug.Gauge has min,max at ends so as you say it'll be oil temp,is the speedo and temp connected ?

As the other guys say it'll be the oil level; I've got a D8 Petrol same as you. When you turn the ignition on you get a light that sweeps round red and orange in colour; where it settles is the oil level. Don't rely on it though!!!!
