bloody fuel guage

Hi does anyone know if its possible to strip & clean the fuel guage in the tank its stuck on 3/4 again with less than 1/2 in tank. its a 02 hdi 90 s0 i dont think its got a pump in the tank like the 110s.

I guess that means we don't know. I thought the 90 still had the lift pump, the set up is more or less the same, although service pox does list a guage without pump so I could be wrong. Hope you can fix it anyway,
