can anyone explain (appart from greedy robbing chancelor & oil companys) why diesel is so much more expensive than unleaded, when this was say 82ppl diesel was 85ppl now its 95 & 107 big difference as i think diesel is cheaper to refine as its still on oil rather than a spirit ?

Aha, that would be because today’s diesel engines require a cleaner and much more refined fuel, so what you're paying for is the R&D and all the extra processes that are required to produce this liquid marvel.
(Nothing to do with the chancellor realising everyone was buying diesels that are much more economical, thus reducing revenue from the fuel tax and subsequently disproportionately increasing said tax to regain the deficit

)
