About half way home yesterday evening, I noticed the engine management light was on
Couldn't see anything else amiss and car was driving normally. I considered stopping, turning it off & re-starting, but with some fog, temperature of -3, rumbling tummy & an appointment with some beer later, I decided not to stop in case it wouldn't re-start.
Stopped outside the house, turned off, restarted, eml light stayed on & message 'Anti Pollution Fault' on MFD
Tried another few times, last night & today - still the same.
Now I'm hoping it's not a blocked FAP, (no blocked filter message or warning light).
Not the Eolys aditive, (no diesel additive low message & anti pollution service carried out about 30,000 miles ago).
Not the differential pressure sensor, (understand this triggers limp home mode if faulty).
Set about checking vacuum valves, pipes, reservoir, sensor connections etc - no difference.
Checked air filter:

Looked pretty manky so changed it - no diference
Set out to find someone with a code reader and no message / eml light
Been for a few 5/10 mile runs since & still Ok, so fingers crossed.....

Very strange maybe it didn't like the cold.......oooh, hang on!, I remember miniman on here had a similar fault on his "newer type" 110 and it was when the air filter got wet. Maybe you sucked in quite a lot of moisture and coupled with a dirty filter it flagged a fault?

Unfortunately this fault message, generally, seems the most common on the 2.2

I had the same problem with my petrol 406, it comes and goes all the time. Peugeot put it onto the computer and nothing was being recorded. With no loss in performance, I have just driven away and let it come on and off as it wants. The only thing the stealer did say, was that it was a common petrol peugeot fault and what they would do, is to change the water temperature sensor! Strange, the fault even appears when the car is cold, so I said no thanks to their wisdom or lack of it.

Thanks for the input guys. One other thing I noticed, there's quite a lot of oil / water mixture in the air pipework twixt intercooler & manifold. Guessing this is coming through the breather. I'm not too concerned as the oil was generously overfilled by the stealer before I got it, (perhaps 1/2 litre too much), now, 6500 miles on it's just about over the full mark & I'm thinking water is just a consequence of the cold weather.

thanks - only done it to each of the threads as most people come on here on dont bother reading other posts apart from their own.

Had this problem (anti-pollution fault),on same day as you and in very similar conditions.

Only difference is it was after i ran it out of fuel (retarded I know)

To cut a long story short, it was water in the fuel that caused the problem, so I drained the fuel filter and is back to normal now.
