Turbo Lag?
406 estate, 2.1TD, I fixed her, then part exchanged her for a Mercedes E300TD Avantgarde Estate.
Hmmmm, straight 6 goodness!

Could be air flow meter?

Throttle position sensor is a good one (but usually flags the engine light).

Faulty turbo wastgate control solenoid (bulkhead - try swapping with the EGR one?)

Bit tricky to say - it's not really a common problem :?

In the last two weeks, I've had three vehicles with a similar fault.

One was a Peugeot Expert HDi with a split in the the rubber turbo pipe under the radiator. This also had black smoke out the exhaust when revved up.

Another Expert HDi was the air flow meter.

The other was a Mercedes 200 with an air flow meter problem.

Each vehicle was difficult to rev up and accelerate, the Merc wouldn't rev above 4,000 and was very slow.

Did it go wrong all of a sudden, or was it a gradual deterioration?
