How do you tell the differance between the 8V and 16V HDI's, is as simple as 90 = 8V 110 = 16V or is there more to it.

You can only tell which engine by looking under the bonnet - there are no external differences that I'm aware of. 90 & 110 Hdi's are both 2.0l 8V engines with black acoustic covers, the 90 doesn't have an intercooler. The Hdi 136 is a 2.2l 16V and is easily recognised by its silver coloured acoustic cover.
The model gives some clues - HDi Execs are all 110 or 136 bhp, 136's only come in GTX, Exec or SE flavours.
