Hi,
Both my front door locks (406 station wagon '04) are more or less refusing to take the 'manual' 2nd key. Instead of unlocking, the key just turns around without resistance.
My shop says that the lock must be professionaly cleaned with some fluid and then dried with compressed air. They refuse to tell me which fluid...
Anyone here who knows a proven procedure to 'refurbish' my door locks..? Any pitfalls to avoid?
Also, here in Norway I haven't found any Haynes book for my 406. Can anyone suggest a cheap mailorder supplier of such books...?
Thanks for any tip

Re: Cleaning door lock
I find WD40 very good for cleaning out door locks. I have also used brake cleaner, it evaporates.
Amazon is usually a good place to buy mail order. http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=wbnavss?u ... 11&Go.y=12
Haynes themselves of course. http://www.haynes.co.uk
