I need a new engine

I have been a silly boy and not put anti freeze in when I changed my radiator. I think I have managed to damage the block as there is now a lot of smoke coming out and it struggles to start. The engine is a 1.9 turbo diesel S reg. Where can I obtain a recon engine and what sort of price will I be looking at. I live in the Manchester area
