hi all key problems

help does anybody know if i can get away with buying a key off ebay then just putting the insides into my key and getting that recoded to my car its just that my remote has given up even though i have changed the batteries to get a complete key is about £200 to get a recode done is about £100 anybody have any ideas

I'd check those prices, I got a new key from the dealer & even paying for the code card it was only £105 including recoding.

the local dealer quoted me £90 for the key then £40-45 for searching for the code plus £40-45 for codeing the key
