is this suitable oil for a hdi 90

my local makro are flogging it for a tenner (and so do hombase according to their website)
its £25 in halfords!

Dunno, can't read the label but I don't think GTX is semi synthetic, You nead either semi or fully synthetic.

thats the problem, it doesnt say that its semi synthetic, although i would assume its not mineral

I'd have thought oil would be better...

It's
mineral oil.
Miight be OK for a GTX, but definetly NOT an Exec
Joking aside, I used any cheap semi-synthetic stuff e.g. Comma etc. in my previous HDi 90. Ran it for 4 years, starting at 85,000 miles, put another 100k on with oil changes at 12,500 mile intervals. Engine sounded & went exactly the same at the end as the beginning. I guess it's not too fussy.

i am glad i asked as it seemed too good to be true
I think the packaging is very misleading, no where does it say its mineral and it does say its suitable for modern diesels
